Staying at West Dean was quite an experience. The stunning historic building had a charming atmosphere, filled with artistic memorabilia that made every corner worth exploring. The gardens surrounding the property were breathtaking. I enjoyed a lovely stroll in the evening, enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Breakfast exceeded my expectations with a fantastic selection. the freshly prepared English breakfast items were particularly delightful. The receptionist initially thought only one room was reserved, which led to a bit of a hassle before it was sorted out. The room could also greatly benefit from additional amenities like a small fridge to enhance my comfort further.

The suite with a garden view offered great vistas, making it feel like a peaceful retreat. The charming grounds were perfect for an evening stroll, soaking up the serene environment.
The swimming pool showed some signs of wear that could use attention. The flow through the dining area seemed unclear during breakfast, and the absence of basic amenities in the room made for a less comfortable stay.

The suite with a garden view is a solid pick, offering great vistas that make you feel connected to nature. The grounds are quite charming, perfect for an evening stroll and soaking in the scenery.
The bed in the single room lacked a headboard and only had one pillow, which could use a serious upgrade for comfort. While the bathroom came with a bottle of shower gel, the absence of basic amenities like shampoo and conditioner felt like a letdown. Breakfast could use a bit more attention. waiting for a full English to be served when arriving near closing time was less than ideal, detracting from an otherwise nice start to the day.
